The Savings & Credit Groups (SCG’s) become the engine for enterprise development.

They undergo a free three-day training program and decide on the rules of the SCG’s. After three months members can borrow up to 3 x their deposit to buy supplies to trade.

SCG’s are a well-managed stokvel but assisted with well-trained field officers who attend monthly meetings for the first year of operation.

Apart from enterprise development Business in a box training manuals such as  Hawker/ Spaza operations, the Savings & Credit Groups (SCG’s) are assisted through a specialist agricultural Training Collective on market greens and in animal husbandry such as Dairy, Goats, Pig and Broiler farming and egg production , even meat for sale.
